[ 8/18/26 ]
Initial release.
Cover tall see-through fences (chainlink, wire, metal bars) with sheets, the same way you cover windows.
A hung sheet blocks zombie line-of-sight and your own vision cone, clicks open/closed like a curtain, and refunds the sheet when removed.
Climbing over the fence is unaffected.

[ 8/18/26 v1.2 ]
New: empty door frames can be covered with a sheet, just like fences - right-click a doorway and use the new Doorway submenu.
Works on map doorways (houses, tents, garages, industrial) and player-built door frames. You can still walk straight through a covered doorway.
Removing the sheet refunds it; if the frame is destroyed (or you build a door into a covered frame), the sheet drops to the ground.
Fix: clicking near certain fences (sprites with no internal name) could break the entire right-click menu.

[ 8/20/26 v1.3 ]
New: Tarps. Right-click a fence and use "Cover with Tarp" in the Fence submenu - one Tarp covers up to 3 tiles in a row as a single cloth (hover the option to see which tiles it will cover).
Doorways too: one tarp covers a single frame, a double doorway or a wide garage/loading-bay opening ("Cover with Tarp" in the Doorway submenu).
Click anywhere on a tarp to open or close the whole thing; remove it and you get the Tarp back.
More doorways can be covered: barred police archways and plain archway trims.
Fix: sheets hung on the far side of a fence or door frame were clipped at the edge of the tile.
Safe to update mid-playthrough: existing sheets and saves are unaffected.

[ 8/29/26 v1.3.1 ]
Fix: sheets and tarps hung on player-built fences and door frames stayed opaque when you walked behind them; they now fade like on map fences.
Fix: a cover could be opened, closed or removed through the fence from the other side; it now works only from the side it hangs on (adding still works from either side, and so does the sledgehammer).
Fix: a sheet hung next to a player-built fence corner painted over the corner post; newly hung covers slot behind it (re-hang an old one to fix it).
Known: a tarp hung on the FAR side of player-built fences fades tile-by-tile instead of as one cloth; hang it from the near side for the full one-piece fade.

[ 9/1/26 v1.3.2 ]
Performance: fixed the high Lua call counts some players measured, even with no sheets or tarps in the loaded area. The work the mod did for every square streaming in was cut to a fraction, and squares with no covers nearby now cost almost nothing.
No gameplay changes, no save changes - safe to update mid-playthrough.

[ 9/3/26 v1.4.0 ]
New: a taller sheet and tarp for double door frames. The wide doorways in houses have a thin header and a much taller opening than a normal door, and the sheet used to hang a third of the way down it with daylight above. Those frames now get a sheet and a tarp cut to their opening.
New: sheets and tarps cut to the fence. The fence sheet was cut for the tallest fence, and on the shorter ones (chainlink mesh, iron spike fences, wire panels, the razor-wire panel, the concrete panel, the player-built bar fence) it floated in the air above the top rail. Each fence height now gets its own cut, hung from its rail; damaged and burnt sections take their fence's cut.
Covers already hanging on those frames and fences keep the old cut; take them down and re-hang to get the new one.
Save-safe: the new art is a new tileset, nothing existing moves.

[ 9/5/26 v1.4.1 ]
Fix: the mod used far more memory than it needed (about 42 MB, and as much again on the GPU). All sprites now share eight depth cells, the way vanilla does.
No visual change, no gameplay changes, no save changes - safe to update mid-playthrough, in singleplayer and multiplayer.

[ 9/10/26 ]
New: Ukrainian and Russian translations (thanks to eshls).
Fix: right-clicking a hung sheet also showed vanilla's "Curtain" submenu next to the mod's Fence/Doorway one, so every action was listed twice. Only the mod's submenu is shown now, as it already was for tarps.

[ 9/25/26 v1.4.2 ]
Fix: on the 42.21 unstable branch, the mod threw errors around door frames: right-clicking one showed no Doorway options, and loading an area with door frames filled the log with errors. Works on both 42.20 and 42.21 now.
Fix: on the 42.21 unstable branch, taking down a tarp with a sledgehammer threw an error whenever the sledge lost condition.
Fix: on 42.21 the sledgehammer on a tarp now follows the same rules as on everything else (the sledge has to be in reach, and the "sledgehammer only in safehouse" server option applies).
No save changes - safe to update mid-playthrough, in singleplayer and multiplayer.
